Officially introduced to Vietnamese audiences on 21st Oct 2008 on VTV1 (19:55 on Tuesday, Thursday and 10:30 on Sunday), the Go Green TV series is a series of educational film produced and broadcasted in the format of a reality program. The series have shown environmental topics in a lively, freshly, natural and youthful way so the messages have been delivered to audiences gently and with appeal.

In order to attract the public attention to environmental issues, the new format of the TV series “Go Green” in the second year of production has been officially aired on 15 Dec 2009 on the channel VTV1, of the Vietnam Television. With a new show style of focusing on reality and creating opportunities for two-way interaction between the audience and the show, the new format will be shown in the form of an open forum with the participation of young collaborators nationwide. Each week the show will introduce a clip released by environmental volunteers. Show participants will exchange and chat with the author of the clip to share ideas as well as explore the detailed analysis by experts. As a result, television audiences can understand more deeply the idea of clips and stories around the topic. Open-minded ending will be saved for comments and solutions to the show topics and messages from audience. The best practices and comments from audience will selected to play in the next episode with the conversation with guests about problem solving and advise to the TV audiences…

The new format, therefore, gives young people all around the country chances to contribute their ideas and clips related to the environment to the show, as well as collaborate in film-making for the program.
