In order to preserve and promote the values of national culture through researching on national character of Vietnam, Trans – Viet tour was held by TMV in 2001, 2002 and 2003 for different objects such as: cultural researchers, ethnographers, artists, photographers, journalists, etc...

- 2001: The program was first organized entitled “Crossing Truong Son” that aimed to research and assess the influences of the open economy to the national culture and the trend of modern culture.
- 2002: The second Vietnam Culture tour entitled “Vietnam Ethnic Groups Culture Exchange”. This was considered as a major activity in 2001 with the aim of introducing and promoting the national character of Vietnamese culture. The program was organized through the journeys to many regions of nation and cultural exchange junkets.
- 2003: The 3rd tour entitled “Passing the North West”, mentioned on the changes of the national culture in a new century – the century of modern, in which asserted the importance and enhanced the preservation activities of the particular cultural features of localities.
