With the desire of supporting the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra to upgrade and improve its performance to the regional and global standard, TMV has annually sponsored for this orchestra since 1998.
As a part of this project, the Toyota Concert has been organized annually and it has achieved good impression and been warmly welcomed by classical music lovers in Vietnam. The Toyota Concert has become one of the four main activities of Toyota Vietnam Foundation since 2006.
From 2007, the Toyota Concert was enhanced to a new level with performances in five big cities of North, Centre and South and renamed to the “Toyota Concert Tour”. The name expressed full meaning of scale and quality expansion of program. Each year, the program performs different subjects with attendance of a talent artist from Vietnam or foreign countries.
This is also a big charitable activity that shows the great efforts of TMV in social contributions, because all proceeds from tickets are collected for charitable purpose So far, the total amount that TMV has sponsored for this program has reached nearly 230,000 U.S. dollars.
Especially, from 2009, Toyota Motor Vietnam officially establishes “Toyota Scholarship for Vietnamese Young Music Talents”, in which will grant annually hundreds of scholarships (worth 3 millionsVND/unit)) that collected from the whole ticket proceeds of the 2 programs Toyota Concert Tour and Toyota Classics for talented and excellent students of Music and Arts Universities/ colleges nationwide, to encourage them to improve their skills and hard study , then become good artists in the future.
