Toyota Classics program has been held by Toyota Motor Corpporation since 1990 as a tour through the Asian countries where Toyota operates in.
This is an annual huge musical event to create opportunity and enhance culture and music exchanges among different nations, as well as to express determination to contribute to social development by donation activities at locals. Since 2007, the Toyota Classics is transferred to Toyota Motor Asian Pacific (TMAP) to execute operation, With the Toyota Classics, Toyota shows the wish to become a model citizen with active contribution to nations in which it operates. After 20 years, this program has attracted hundred thousands of audiences from nearly 140 concerts in the Asia – Pacific area.
In Vietnam, since 1997, under the support and cooperation of the Performing Arts Center under the Ministry of Cultural, Sports, and Tourism, the Toyota Classics has organized successfully, drawn the big attention of music lovers from all over the country as well as regarded as one of most -expected music events of year. It does not only show the Toyota’s efforts in making enthusiastic contributions to the development of Vietnamese culture but also offers very good opportunities for Vietnamese music teachers and students to learn the performances of the world famous orchestras.

With the philosophy of harmoniously developing between Vietnam and its people, this musical program is an opportunity for us to contribute more to the society. Therefore, we have granted the total proceeds worth nearly VND 1.8 billion of 12th previous Toyota Classics to support for cultural activities and charity in Vietnam. Especially, since 2009, TMV has established and implemented the program “Toyota Scholarship for Vietnamese Young Music Talents” that aims to encourage them to improve the skills and hard study to become good artists in the future. The whole ticket proceeds of the Toyota Classics 2009 will be used for this meaningful scholarship program.
Through this meaningful activity, in 2008, TMV had the honor to receive a certificate of merit granted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism that recognized its great contribution to the development of classical music in Vietnam.
