Toyota Technical Education Programs

In order to assist the automotive vocational schools to improve the quality of training process for high skilled technicians as well as to upgrade the Vietnamese education, since 2000, TMV has implemented the Toyota Technical Education Program (TTEP.


Initially, TTEP was carried out mainly to provide initial facilities and modern teaching tools, aiming to support teaching and practicing as well as to enhance the training quality on general repairing jobs at the vocational center of the Hanoi College of Transportation, and HCM University of Technical Education

 

 

Since 2005, the program has been expanded with new part as body and paint  repair to Ho Chi Minh University of Technical Education and Hanoi University of Industry (in 2006) and Cao Thang Technical College in Ho Chi Minh City (in 2008), Phu Lam Technical and Economics College in HCM city (in 2009).

 

Up to now, the TTEP was extended to 5 universities and college nationwide, including:

 

  1.    Hanoi College of Transportation

  2.   Ho Chi Minh University of Technical Education.

  3.   Hanoi University of Industry.

  4.   Cao Thang Technical College in HCM city.

  5.   Phu Lam Technical and Economics College in HCM city.

 

During 10 years of implementing TTEP, TMV has provided training facilities, repairing tools and teaching tools to the above schools with a total value of $ 560,000 . TMV also donated 4 cars for training purpose (including 2 Toyota Hiace and 2 Toyota Camry). Until now, TTEP has trained more than 5000 students, in which 215 students were recruited by TMV’s dealer network nationwide (including 114 joined in common repair sector and 91 joined in body and paint repair sector)

 

 

With the desire of subtainable development  with Vietnam and its people, TMV will continuously contribute to Vietnam society, especially in education - training and human resources development. In particular, TMV will assist to improve education quality and increase skilled technicians for Vietnamese automobile industry.
