As one of four main activities of Toyota Vietnam Foundation (TVF), Toyota Scholarship Program is one of TMV’s social contribution programs that draws much attention from young students. Now, This program is devided to two scholarship: Toyota Scholarship for student in the field of technology and environment; Toyota Scholarship for student in the field of music.
TOYOTA SCHOLARSHIP FOR TECHNICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL STUDENT

This program was first implemented in 1997 and it has been held annually with the aim of encouraging the spirit of studying among students. Up to now, there are more than 1,300 outstanding technical and environmental students from universities nationwide have been granted Toyota scholarships with the total amount of over VND 3 billions.
Annually, within the middle weeks of October, 132 scholarships will be granted to 120 excellent students in major of engineering and environment (values VND 3 million per scholarship), and 12 groups of student which have excellent record in science study (value VND 10 million per scholarship) in 12-14 universities nationwide.
In addition to scholarships, TMV also donated car engines to 4-5 universities or colleges. These engines will be helpful for practical training and teaching in universities as well as improving the quality of education.

With the purposes of more contributing to the development of Vietnam’s education in general and music area in particular, as well as encourage and award excellent Vietnamese young music talents., starting from 2009, Toyota Vietnam Foundation (TVF) along with other founders, including Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV), Ministry of Education and Training, and Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism have announced to grant Toyota Scholarship for excellent students of 5 Art universities, which operate directly under Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

The program will be hold every year. Especially, The budget for the program is from the proceeds of the two concert programs which are sponsored by Toyota Motor Vietnam, Toyota Classics and Toyota Concert Tour Vietnam.
The purposes of this scholarship as following:
- To promote and glory musical talent in Vietnam
- To contribute to development of music in Vietnam
- To expand the Toyota Scholarships for more VN’s students
In 2009, 90 scholarships worth VND 3million per each were granted for excellent musical students chosen from 5 music schools all over the country, including: National Music Institute of Vietnam, Tay Bac Musical Colleague, Viet Bac Musical Colleague, HCM Musical Colleague ,Hue Musical Colleague.
In the second year, Toyota Scholarship for Vietnamese Young Music Talents 2010 were granted 100 scholarships worth VND 3million per each for 100 excellent musical students chosen from 5 music school in above. Moreover, in the ceremony in 20th Sep, there was a special performance by excellent students who received scholarships of last year. This is an opportunity for exellent students to show their skills as well as directly report the results of their study after a year.
