Crankshaft Pulley replacement on CAMRY 3.0 model

We are dedicated to providing vehicles of outstanding qualified vehicles and best quality of customer service. As part of our constant efforts to provide the best in customer satisfaction, we would like to introduce a Special Service Campaign “Crankshaft pulley replacement on Camry 3.0 model”
Launching reason:
The Crankshaft Pulley is a part of the engine and transfers torque force from the engine though a V belt to a Power Steering Pump, an Alternator and an air compressor.
On subjected vehicle, the amount of the adhesive agent applied between the outer ring and the torsion rubber damper (inner ring) in the crankshaft pulley may be inadequate. In the worst cases, the belt for the power steering pump may become detached from the pulley which could result in a sudden increase in steering effort. A sudden increase in steering effort could increase the risk of a crash.
Root cause:
The amount of the adhesive agent applied between the outer ring and the torsional rubber damper (inner ring) in the crankshaft pulley may be inadequate.
What will Toyota do?
- Any Toyota dealer will replace the crankshaft pulley on Camry 3.0 model with new one at NO COST.

This problem may happen on only Camry model with Frame number range as below:

The crankshaft pulley replacement will take approximately 2.5 hour. However, it may take longer depending on each dealer working schedule. Please contact service advisors at Toyota Dealer to make appointment in advance for your convenience.
Please present this notice to the dealer when you bring the vehicle in for your service appointment.
